How can I generate my ActiveCast videos?

Learn how to create AI-generated videos using ActiveCast.

Written by Lana

Creating a video is simple. The most important step is choosing the right image, as it serves as the foundation for your generated video.

You can either:

Note: You must have the appropriate license or permission to animate any image you upload. If you are unsure whether you have the necessary rights, please check with the photographer or the platform where you obtained the image.

Note: Children’s photos can be animated, but they cannot speak by default. Voice generation for child characters is currently unavailable due to complex licensing terms governing the use of children’s photos in AI-generated video, even when parental consent has been provided.

Once you've selected your image, hover over it and click “Activate image” button to open the ActiveCast video editor.

From there, configure the following settings:

When you're ready, click Generate.

Note: The number of credits consumed for each generation or regeneration depends on the selected AI model, video duration, scene complexity and resolution.

Scene Builder

With Scene Builder you can tweak your selected photo, by changing character's appearance.

You can also add your product, for example, the photo of your merchandise/product (bag, pen, clothes, shampoo, food, etc.); and change the location for the photo.

Additionally, you can add Reference image to match the style and combine characters.

Note. If you add a reference image, be sure to specify exactly what you want the AI model to use from it. Otherwise, the model will decide on its own, which may lead to unexpected results and waste 45 or 90 credits per generation.

Note. Each Scene generation requires additional credits. The number of credits deducted depends on the AI model you select. Nano Banana 2 Lite uses 45 credits per generation, while all other models use 90 credits per generation.

Camera Motion

Camera Motion define how the virtual camera moves during your AI-generated video. Although the video is created from a single image, the selected Camera Motion instructs the AI how to animate the scene, creating a more dynamic and engaging result.

You can select one of 16 available Camera Motions:

  1. Cinematic Dolly-In;

  2. Smooth Dolly-Out;

  3. Cinematic Crane Reveal;

  4. Lateral Trucking;

  5. Pedestal Up;

  6. Vertigo Dolly Zoom;

  7. Digital Pinch Zoom;

  8. Slow Optical Zoom;

  9. Rapid Whip Pan;

  10. 360° Orbit;

  11. God’s Eye Descent;

  12. FPV Power Loop;

  13. Organic Phone Jitter;

  14. Walking Follow;

  15. POV Glance;

  16. High Action Shake

Note: If you're unsure which Camera Motion to use, select Auto and the editor will choose the most suitable option automatically.

Action Templates

Action Templates define how your AI presenter is framed and moves throughout the video. Each template combines camera movement with a presentation style, making it easier to match your video to your content.

You can select one of 7 available Action Templates:

  1. The Story Teller;

  2. The Object Handler;

  3. The Tech Expert;

  4. The Warm Guide;

  5. The Enthusiast;

  6. The Professional;

  7. The Relaxed Client.

Note: If you're unsure which Action Template to use, select Auto and the editor will automatically choose the best option.

Narration

Narration is the dialogue or narration spoken by your AI character or a narrator.

Anything you enter in this field will be spoken aloud in the generated video.

Action Prompt

Action Prompt is the prompt that tells the AI what should happen visually in the scene.

Use this field to describe:

  • Character actions

  • Facial expressions

  • Body language

  • Camera behavior

  • Environment

  • Overall scene direction

Think of Action Prompt as the visual script for your video.

Resolution

Available resolutions vary depending on the selected AI model.

Depending on the model, you can generate videos in resolutions ranging from 480p up to 4K.

Some models support only a limited set of resolutions.

Video Length

Video duration also depends on the selected AI model.

Depending on the model's capabilities, you can generate videos between 1 and 30 seconds long.

Generate Your Video

Once you've configured all settings, click Generate.

Your selected image will be transformed into an AI-generated video based on your chosen Camera Motion, Action Template, Narration, Action Prompt, and AI model.

Note: Every generation or regeneration consumes a new set of credits. Regenerating a video is treated as a new generation and will use additional credits. By hovering over the “Generate” button you will see approximate amount of credits that will be consumed upon generation.
