Why do some videos require extra credits to download?
We work with two content providers: Storyblocks and Shutterstock.
In our library Storyblocks images appear only under Value Picks tab.
Shutterstock images appear under all other tabs in the library.
Videos containing original or regenerated Storyblocks images, as well as your own uploaded images, do not require additional credits when downloaded.
However, due to licensing requirements, videos containing images from Shutterstock require additional credits to download. Amount of credits differ depending on the selected image.
Note. If you duplicate a project containing images from Shutterstock, additional download credits will still be deducted when you download the duplicated video, even if you haven't regenerated it.
How can I avoid paying extra download credits?
Here's the good news! You can create and download new versions of your video without paying additional download credits by using the “Generate from last frame option” instead of duplicating your project.
If you wish to save both versions you'll need to pay the additional download credits for the initial download anyway, but you can avoid these extra charges for subsequent versions created using this method.
There is one important limitation: only the latest regenerated version will be available in your ActiveCast tool. Any previous versions you want to keep must be downloaded to your computer before you regenerate the video. These downloaded versions won't be saved in your ActiveCast tool and cannot be restored there later.
If you want to keep all versions of your video in your ActiveCast account, you'll need to duplicate the project instead. However, downloading each duplicated version will require additional download credits.
Note. Every time you generate or regenerate a video, a new set of generation credits is required, regardless of which method you choose.
How to regenerate and download a video without extra download credits
Follow these steps to create a new version of your video without paying additional download credits:
Download your current video. If you want to keep this version, make sure to download it before regenerating. Otherwise, it will be replaced by the new version in your tool and cannot be restored there.
Open My Videos. Navigate to the My Videos tab at the top of the page.
Open the video menu. Hover over the video you want to regenerate, then click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
Select Generate from last frame. You'll be redirected to the editor. Please note that your previous prompts and settings won't be carried over, so you'll need to enter them again.
Generate your new video. Once you've entered all the necessary information and are ready to proceed, click “Generate video”. The required generation credits will be deducted.
Download your video. Once the video has been regenerated, you can download it without paying additional download credits. :)
What if I want to keep all versions of my video in my account?
If you'd like to keep every version of your video in your ActiveCast tool, select “Duplicate project” instead.
This option opens the editor with your existing project settings, allowing you to make changes and generate a new version. Both the original and duplicated projects will remain in My Videos tab.
However, please keep in mind that generating a new version requires generation credits, and downloading each duplicated video containing images from Shutterstock will incur additional download credits.

To see the amount of credits that is going to be deducted upon download, you need to hover over the video in My Videos Tab, click View Video button.
You will be redirected to a preview page. Just hover over the Download video button, and you will see the amount of credits that will be deducted.
